Title: lynx cub painting
Post by: DaveHawk on January 24, 2014, 03:04:54 PM
I finally started a new painting in 2014. I have 4 sections in this so far. This will be a full body with some surrounding 18x24. The cub is so cute I just could not pass up painting it.

Thanks Hawkens,
if you have a constructive criticism feel free. I painted for an hour last night , American Pickers was on and the shop
would not not warm up enough to feel comfortable enough to paint.
This is interesting. I only paint under yellow light  but the white light tends to see like the photo. To much blue for my taste.

Dave,
Your work is outstanding. Might sound funny but I like this one just the way it is.

with the background roughed in I started working the detail. that will be behind a small pine.  I'm totally not sure about this but I want this kitty to have a good 3D look.

I still need to figure out what I will do with the right side.  But I figure I have tomorrow and all weekend. This snow will cripple the DC area I hope then I can paint till I'm sick of it. LOL
