I was tinkering in the shop yesterday when I found this one inch brass plated ring in my parts bin. I've been wanting a small Celtic / Blanket pin for my kit and figured it would be perfect to make one. A few minuets later with a hacksaw, a piece of coat hanger, pliers and hammer, I have one ........"on the cheap!" ;D
Good idea woody thmbsup thmbsup
Yeah but it's not a Brass ring anymore! thmbsup

thmbsup Dont ya love that feelin when ya pick up a few things off the bench and all of a sudden yur holdin somethin cool like that.
Yep - Always nice to be able to make somethng nice outta materials on hand... I like the posts where we look at scrap odds 'N ends and the light bulb comes on and we make something nice outta stuff that would have been tossed in the garbage or firebox!
Just for those folks who don't know, could someone with better verbal skills than me, splain how that thing works!
P.S. I'as gona do it my self, but time I thought about it, I'd already hit the post button! :o

I found a youtube video that shows a guy that made these the same way and shows how they work...if that helps.
