Yes, I was very fortunate to find a left handed 50 cal Investarms Hawken with the spare 36 cal Green Mountain barrel.

The heavier barrel has helped a lot. I haven't tried the .50 yet but the .36 works very well.

Now I have to work on hand placement because I have powder burns across my knuckles from gripping so far rearward hdslp

Brian,
Looks like you slipped a little this month in the bench match, but good shooting all the same. I'll have to wait till next year to challenge again due to hand surgery. Broke the pinky on my left hand and will be cast up for 3-4 months. they will take out the pins in 4-5 weeks but until then we won't know if the tendon will need more work. I'll look forward to getting back into the fold.

Papa, sorry to hear of the injury. I will PM you.

As for the bench, I have got a lot of work to do. Looking forward to it.

You must use a close hold like I do, I had to go to a close hold due to a shoulder injury but eventually got the shoulder working properly and I still use the close hold to keep myself from holding the rifle with my fingers and getting told it is an illegal hold at matches. They have never said the close hold is an illegal hold.

Yes, like your avatar and it seems even closer doing it left handed. I get a lot of powder stinging from the first joint to the second from the nipple. Have you ever tried on or those guards?

I have tried several flash protecter type things, the cheapest is an end cap for copper tubing with a hole drilled in it. I'm not currently using any kind of flash protecter and my fingers do get black but I don't usually get the stinging from flash particles that you mention.
