This pattern is from Mountainman Crafts and Skills by David Montgomery... If you don't have a copy of this book I would sugest getting one!  One thing would suggest before wasting hide is make a pair or even one from cloth.   You have a tendency to not allow enough seam room, if whipping on outside or inside.  100+ degrees  here in outback of OK  last thing want to wear is mittens   :mini-devil-28492: but fall will hopefully be on us.  Enjoy,  this is a great little book and not that expensive.
