I just finished my first powder horn. This was a lot of fun and I'm sure this wont be my last one.

That's a nice job. thmbsup I like the artwork on the side. I have made horns with a bit of carving but, not having any artistic abilities, I have not tried any scrimshawing on a horn that I planned to actually use. I had an old horn that was not suitable for making anything so I tried doing some scrimshawing on it. That was when I decided that I need to leave that stuff to those who have that necessary talent. I have also tried some practice engraving and that, too, is best left to those with a bit of artistic talent. Congrats on a nice horn.
