I'd like to send up a prayer for those affected by the storm and tornado in Oklahoma.
Prayer on the way
Prayers up!
Jim (Red Badger) wanted me to tell everyone that he and Di (Lady Bulldog) are fine and weathered the storms and tornadoes without damage up there in Oklahoma. Jim does not have his computer with him and as such cannot check the forum so when I called to see if they were alright he asked me to post this for him. We are worried about Mongo40 though as he lives in the Moore, OK area. Prayers for everyone that has been affected by this storm.
William

He's been at the VFW all weekend and left his computer there. FOX news is reporting that 51 people are dead including 24 school children from a tornado that was at times 1 mile wide and stayed on the ground 45 minutes. I pray that these people will be found alive amid the wreckage and are just missing at the moment.
Prayers Up
I just don't know what to say. We get STRONG straight line winds, sometimes in excess of 80 MPH. But the devastation of these things
just blows me away, NO pun intended. Prayers up from our camp.
Prayers from here
praying for all out there.
Prayers for all those affected. Some of my wifes family is in Henryetta Ok, they were lucky, no tornadoes yet.
I'm an hour south of Moore that was hit so bad, its a terrible thing but I feel the worse for the children that were lost an there parents, school ends here Thursday for all the schools I can't imagine that kind of loss. Apparently a class of about 30 had gone to the basement an the building colapsed an they all drowned. It can happen so fast. All we can do is pray, wife and daughter sent two big bags of cloths up yesterday on a bus that loaded up here yesterday, those people have lost everything. Thanks
Sumo that just joined the board lives up in OKC, haven't heard from him yet!
Mongo
Good to hear from you mongo40. Will keep Sumo in our prayers too.
I am back - I have been in Moore for the past 2 days and was sent home when some of our other American Legion teams showed up... National arrived with 2 Semi's with mobile disaster offices set up in them and are processing disaster relief checks for veterans as soon as they can process them and verify information. I ran through about 12 chains for my chainsaw and 10 pairs of gloves doing recovery ops before someone figured out that I shouldn't be out there doing it with my bad shoulder and back... so they said thanks and go home....
I would suggest that anyone who can make a donation to one of the charities - Those people in Moore and Shawnee are going to need lots of help!
Many prayer's for the familie's and searcher's!!
Prayers up.
