It seems it is getting to be a lot of hassle trying to make sure I have all the things I need in the shooting bag as I switch rifles often. I'm considering setting up a dedicated bag for each rifle .Am I the last on the planet to do this? ??? Mike
Not at all.... there are several of us who have yet to decide that that is the most approprate solution. I think it depends on personal preferance...
I have 3 bags each supposedly set up for a different caliber, but I still tend to grab one bag and dump the items I need into it instead of grabbing the bag already set up for that caliber.... I just like this one bag so much (besides bulldog lady made it for me, and might not take it kindly if I were to not use it... pnic )
Makes sense to me. Switching components from one bag to another is a sure way for me to forget something I need and leave it at home by mistake. Besides, it's a good excuse to buy more than one bag if you see a nice one!
Even before I became a bag maker all those years ago, each gun has it's own bag. With ALL the tools needed for that gun,worm,puller,ect........
And once a month I go through each bag to make sure all is good. Enough powder,prime/cap's,patch,ect....
Ps,I make ALL styles of shooting pouches, just sayin'......
Well, I'm working on it. I have more than 30 muzzleloaders and about 1/2 that many bags but I do have bags with horns for the guns that I shoot the most. When I clean my gun I also replace everything I've used in that bag and horn. I like horns attached to the bag so when I grab that bag and gun I know I have everything necessary to shoot it. Hank12
I didn't know there was any other way (susp) [conf]
