Saw a gun on under hammer soc. page made by Swiss gunsmith name of "Correvon" A double action pistol made in 1840. Ingenious, the trg. has a hook on it, pulling it back pulls the hook on hmr. firing gun !! So not knowing what the lock work looked like I drew up a design & played with it until I thought it might actually work. It did. I made a pistol 1st. it came out O.K. So I made this shotgun with a bbl. off e-bay. @ 20 yd. 45 gr. 3f equal #7 shot nice pattern on paper. Anyone want to hack & file one out--go ahead.........Tom

Lock Work
The pistol prototype..
Interesting set up
simple design , and it works , not much more you could ask ! I like it thmbsup but then I have a thing for underhammers , and odd locks . some really strange stuff floating around out there !
I like that design as a simple one, but seems easy to perhaps get a misfire from dropping or catching on a branch when going through brush. I think I'd want a pull pin safety on a cord or something that would lock the sear to the hammer until you are really ready to use it. Great design though. ;)

that`s not a bad idea !
That is a good thought guys, I've put a safety pin on other UH locks. Being safe in woods is a concern especially if someone else is carrying it........Tom
