was taking a look at the sheath plainsman made , nice job thmbsup and was wondering how many here have made them ? I`ve done a couple over the years , so here`s photo`s of two of mine ! lets see what ya`ll have ! first one here is ten years old . made for a knife I bought at alberts hardware in westminster md back in 1978 ! it`s had a new guard and handle put on it ! the sheath is aged white goat skin over oak tan leather !
this one I did in 2006 , ordered a muela boar hunter blade from dixie gun works , put a brass guard and an ebony handle . the sheath is deer skin over oak tan with some simple bead work ! lets see whats out there ! I could use a little inspiration for my next project ! ;D
Here's another I made recently
Deer rawhide, birch bark, brass tacks, beads, deer antler toggle, and a coon claw.

I've made them for years for Highland dirks. What is the big deal with center seams?
