Title: Unfinished renegade
Post by: 62Kodiak on August 29, 2012
There is a guy in my area that is selling a T/C rengade .54. It is an assembled kit, but has never been fired. The gun is complete other than the stock has not been finished. He is asking $200, is this a fair price?

I bought one several weeks ago for $150 with the intent of rebuilding her.  It has a well "seasoned" barrel and a "mature" stock.  In otherwords it has been used for its intended purpose.  Assuming the feller who put it together didn't have three left hands, I think it is a good deal.  Track of the Wolf is selling a used one for $499!  USED!   Gunbroker has a fair amount of used ones going from $250-325.

This is probably a late comment, but a lot depends on the barrel. If it has a factory blue or real hot blue the $200 price is good.  You see many good Renegades for $250 or so. Of course rust or stock cracks means it is only worth the value of the remaining parts. There are a lot of these available so drive a hard bargain.
