Title: June Bug Tackle
Post by: Pete Stines on July 30, 2012, 05:00:06 PM
BEWARE: Bad deal! June Bug Tackle offers soft lead bars in 1 pound blocks for $1.50 BUT they short change you. I ordered 18 pounds but got only 15 and was charged for 18. When I e-mailed them asking for the 3 pounds due, I got a snotty respond. He said...."I counted those bars myself.....and the box weighed 18 pounds....I don't know what you are trying to pull but go buy your lead somewhere else.......

The Idiot that shipped the lead did not weigh the box separate from the lead.  What a schmuck.  Also a scammer.  Thanks for the heads up.

I get mine from the scrap yard for 65 cents a pound. Weighed in front of me with no postage, and I can pick the lead I want.

Normally I get mine through the scrap yards too. Lead pipe, cable, etc. But they've been out of lead lately so I may have to shake the bushes. Roto metals has soft lead but the shipping will eat you up. I save all my bullets if I can and right now I've got enough cast up and more ready to melt so I'll be okay for a while.
I filed some complains here and there on line and I still have the box with tags and the e-mail. I never had a problem with June Bug before.  strpot
