Title: Lining a Bag
Post by: Mongo40 on December 07, 2011, 02:39:05 PM
I'm going to be starting leather work with my students Monday, figured while I got the students working on there projects I'd make me a bag for my flinter, I don't have any problem making the bag but my question is how do you add the lining to one,,,,while its in pieces do you cut the material to match an sew it up all together at the same time, do you use some kind of glue to hold it in place while you do this,,,,inquiring minds want to know?????

Definitely sew it all at one time. A bit of rubber cement used as contact cement will help hold things while sewing.

Yes,before you sew together.

If REALLY want to learn to make bags, take Ken Scotts class at Conner Praire in October. Best money I EVER spent!!!!!Learned more in the first hour than 25 years of makin' on my own!
