Re looked several times and can't decide if summer and blowing undercoat or winter and snow packed, the background will make all the difference. Again an awsome job chrrs

I'm not sure yet but its beginning to unfold. Long sit yesterday. While the skins played and a few movies ran Good back ground noise. LOL Blocking in the reflection and water was a bit tricky but it ready to begin detail.

Made it past the toughest hurdle in this painting. There is still the finer detail to the head to complete then  on to completion.

Update on the wolf. I have not yet bought my Md hunting lic mostly because of this wolf painting. I'm at the age where hunting seems to be more of chore around home , hunting back yards killing 20+ deer a year. I rather buy my Va Lic and head down for a few days a season to the farm and hunt, get some guilty time in alone and maybe take a nice buck or turkey. Well we'll see , seasons change and so do I.

This is in western Wyoming in the Hoback Canyon.  This particular place is one that God made real special, matter of fact, I wouldn't be suprised to see him sitting there one day just enjoying what he made.

. After each sitting now I need to sit back and get a good look , things that are popping and things that are not. Little change here and little change there to make the next area relate.
I remember my good friend and painting mentor in college tell me that you need to divide up the painting so each section is a painting , I've always remember that and I think that may be why I spend time in one area so long.
I saw my for Cool look in this yesterday after I pushed it away. The tail sitting on the water. I am starting to get a little excited about this one.

Yes there will be prints made. I am not sure of the price yet. It will depend on the quality of the paper and printer. I have a printer lined up with high quality paper but I have not got a price from him yet. Thanks for asking.

Thanks All
The story is coming together, I must seem very slow to most of you but I like seeing what I am doing and envisioning where I'm going before I paint and as I paint. I spend a lot of time looking a head like a pool player looking 3-5 shots  a head.

You know of all the pictures I have seen of this work of art I have to say the last one really sets it off.  Getting the entire canvase in the shot with some background makes it that much more... at least to me...  I am no art critic but I would pay good cash for that painting, it actually speaks to me...

Very nice job!
