I think you mentioned not being able to find wool yarn. Back when I was still married my wife crocheted and knitted a number of things for me, and she got the wool yarn for these projects at Wal-Mart. It was right in the same section as the acrylic stuff -- you just had to look for it. A lot of it was from Merino sheep, which isn't strictly PC -- but on the flip side Merino wool doesn't itch like the 100% traditional varieties can. And if anyone starts getting snooty about the precise breed of sheep your wool comes from, do what I would do, which is offer to wrap a sash around the critic's neck and pull it snug enough that his eyes bug out and his face turns blue. At the thought of having the oxygen supply cut off the average blowhard tends to pipe down in a hurry. thmbsup
