A Revolutionary War inspired horn that is 100% cow horn. This bottle/flask can be used to hold anything that will fit in it from priming powder to salt etc. I flattened some horn into sheeting for the bottom and top and turned the spout and stopper to give it an interesting shape. OA the horn with stopper in place stands about 5.50 inches, and the main horn body is approx. 3.00 inches high, by 2.00 inches at the bottoms widest width. The rattle snake and slogan is called the Gadsden flag symbol. I intentionally scrimshawed a little coarser and stressed the whole piece to give it a used antiqued patina.
I am currently finishing a similar one with a "Scottish Thistle" and have others on the drawing board. Nice way to use all those horn leftover scraps!

Horner75 that's cool. You do some incredible work. thmbsup

Sooo many ideas, soooo little time. Great job Horner thmbsup
Rick you just keep out doing you previous, marvelous work, makes me just want to see what you come up with next, and put my stuff in the doggy chew drawer,, awesome not enough.
The stopper could easily be explained as a rattlesnake's rattle, fitting the theme of the scrimshaw. Very interesting shape indeed!
Sweet! I like it a lot!!!!
