Title: California gun laws.
Post by: ErikPrice1@msn.com on March 11, 2011
Came down to Bakersfield this week to work on the sister in laws house. Thought I would run around today and look for black powder rifles in all the pawn shops. Was I in for a rude awakening. Went to seven shops, not 1 firearm can you believe in all the pawn shops not 1 gun. Incase you didn't know gun pawns are the bread and butter money for a pawn/consignment shop, so for them not to carry guns is serious. I know I use to own one. I do take that back in one shop hanging in the front window covered with dirt and rust was a traditions 45 perc, he wanted 300.00 and would not budge.  He said that is the last gun in a pawn shop in bakersfield. I thought he was kidding. After searching about 3 or 4 I heard a shocking pattern. Too much new paperwork, regulations and way to many fees for the pawn shop to pay to make anykind of profit. The pawn/consignment shop I was involved with was doing great until the govenor of oregon decided consignment shops could not do guns anymore. I do not think I have ever walked into such bare pawn shops in my life. Remember people what starts in Cali the rest of the country usually follows. DON'T FORGET TO VOTE.
