Hey red badger how far is that from Henreyeta, OK. Were suppose to visit the rest of the wifes family there about fall. Might stop in.
Just to add to Red Badger's post, these are really nice folks, alot of fun, traders, folks who just love blackpowder and good friendship. Shooting matches, hawks, bows the whole nine yards and kid events also. (they really cotton to doing the kids and make an effort to see the prizes are nice), not just the kids but the grown ups also. They have firewood for free and a beautiful team of horses brings ice and water several times a day (not free). The buffalo and other animals are there for the viewing and sometimes visit, there is a wonderful museum of everything from old to new. Bartlesville is real close if you want to do modern overnight and come just visit camp for the day.. Would love to see any of our online friends show up. Di

maybe a 2 hour drive... but well worth a day trip! The museum alone is a world wide attraction, The have a lot of Frank Phillips (aka Phillips petroleum aka Conoco Phillips) stuff and lots of native american things, along with a modest zoo with buff and other critters free roaming - every now and then we have to chase buff and elk out of the camp area... and no we can't shoot them.... ROFL
Added - went to mapquest - it is 100.31 miles from Henryetta to Woolaroc so my 2 hour guess about right, If yoy type Woolaroc OK in as a start or destination it comes up fine...
Might have to do that when the time comes. We plan on driving from oregon, gonna stop along the way and see some of this wonderful country. Will let you know when the time is closer. Looking forward to meeting you folks.
Leaving Tomorrow morning for the Spring event... Look for Bulldog Lady & me if your in the neighborhood! I probably will not be on line during this event so see you all Sunday !
Well you two have a great time!! flwa
OK Boys --- The Furry Butted Red Badger is Leaving - Time to raid His Den and find that jug... :mini-devil-28492:

I heard that :o
Too late fellas. That funny colored creature set me ta guarding the jug stash. Funny thing is he doesn't know I'm relocating, um uh guarding and keeping it safe. Yeah that's it keeping it safe. blah Maybe he'll be gone long enough to forget about the cache. We all know how those older fur bearers gets forgetful. What? Darn, I hate stopping in mid thought. Ah can't always remember which direction I was thinking. Oh well, nice sort of day outside huh??
well if he going to gone long we might want to sample it from time to time (by the minuet ) to make sure it is not going bad chrrs
Quality control is very important!
I'MMMMMMM BACCCCCK!

On a serious side we have to cool the Jug comments - some members are complaining to management....
We (Bulldog Lady and myself) had a great time, ,et a member of the site and had a nice chat unfortunately he fell sick and had to had home early... Hope your feelin better!
sorry so long in addin my 2 cents worth, 12 days out of 18 a rondying is hard on des here old bones. We had a great time and wish all of you would consider commin up this fall. You can come in a week in advance and set up. It is a beautiful spot, showers should be finished by then, the museum is super and one day won't cover it if you are really into history. The wild life is there, the pond and creek are for admiring or guess ya could go a skinny dippin in the moonlight if'n ya was a mind to afore everyone got there. :mini-devil-28492: They furnish firewood and will tote your water jugs and fill and return them and have ice for sale. All horse drawn around of course. They have super grand prizes for those who participate in addition to the blanket prizes everyone puts down. Just a great place to get away and relax, meet new folks and have a good time. Will get the Red Badger to post some pics.
I'm doing fine now, doc sent me out a Z pack for strep, I took that and then went to Dallas to see my youngest daughter and by the time I got back I was allmost mended.
Was nice to chat with you two plus one of the vendors there bought every hand made bag I brought (9 or 10) plus all my knives and my little neck bags and neck knives. thmbsup
Glad to hear your feelin better was a pleasure to see you there, got kinda concerned when we saw you camp struck and you gone!
Did not get a chance to take many pictures but here is what we did find time to take....

Nice pictures Red Badger. All the camps look nice as well. Seeing the animals is cool. Thanks for sharing.. thmbsup
was a small Rendezvous (for Wollaroc)only about 75 to 100 camps, the fall one is bigger about 200 to 300 camps.
The only bad time was when the storm was approaching the area and they herded us all into the basement of the event center for 3 1/2 hours... I lost a contact lens getting to the event center and had to be lead around. The kids took it all in stride but one or two adults needed some reminders about behavior... then we went back to camp expecting a shambles and found out the wind never got over 35 mph in the valley. The storm split and went around us... The spirits were watching over us as Ponca City, and Pawhuska, OK had 90 + mph winds from that storm Pawhuska is only about 35 miles from the camp area (as the crow flies).
Nice pictures red badger, in the photo with the deer feeding is thatan albino deer or a goat, can't tell, too early in the mornin.

one of several white deer they have, don't think it is an albino though, I think it is some asian species that have a white coat, never got close enough to see if it had the red eyes
