I must say, winter camping isn't all that bad when you're dressed for it.  Otter cap made by Bear Killer (he does fabulous work); my pretty white stripey capote is still in California, so I borrowed this one that I made for my Cuz out of an early's of witney blanket; and the Steiger mukluks.  The shooting bag doubled as a possibles bag for the weekend.  The 'noggin' came in right handy.  It was special made for me by Doc Watson back in August.  And no there's no rum in it, I was trying out Voy's chaaga tea.

And if'n it got reallllly chilly, the Cuz lent me one of his fine buffalo robes.  I'm thinking it might have to belong to me one of these days.

Thanks, guys... Yes, I pretty much kept warm.  (Kinda helped that the temps stayed above zero instead of below it... but I was prepared for either)

Yup, Things were outright warm. Luckily Mouse got pics of the sculptures before any of them started to melt to much.  It was a great weekend and we all stayed plenty warm. personally I dont think the weekend could have gone any better, and hope that Mouse will continue to be a part of the encampment from now on.

Harumpf.... I meant the rest of the pictures from the weekend.... I know you are a respectful Lady and would never presume to see all your winter clothes, (at least not with Buldaog Lady within striking distance  bunkr)

I was kinda hoping for some of the sculpture pictures.... Used to love the Winter Carnival in St. Paul/Minneapolis some beautiful ice sculptures there

yup, chris, it's a wood burning stove.  a traditional fire on the ground would have been nice, but it's a bit too chilly to play in the pond that all the melted snow would have created.

Great pictures of pretty good setup....good to see you out having fun..need me one of those noggin cups.  Went camping with Silver Fox of FTTA and saw his stove in the tent ..nice setup, but would hate to trek with it. Still using my blankets on the ground camp--but with diamond fly in bad weather.

I like the brown and tan colors- better than white- almost as much as red and black.

Thank you.  My personal capote is white with black and powder blue stripes, absolutely gorgeous (matches my blue eyes).  But out of all that I have made in the past few years, the tan and black is still my favorite.
