i was cleaning my shead and found this its a pice of batoo from borneo well i think it comes from there,we get a lot of furnature made from it imported here it a supper hard wood and the color can change with in a foot in one pice,you see four poster beds made from it and the colors are awesom what it laks in burle it makes up in color this will be a good solid knife handle.it is a great wood for carving it does not splinter.

adam the batoo is getting very popular here as the termites hate the stuff so it is being used more and more in the building trade but it has one draw back it is as heavy as lead lol.
