AGREE  the cure or treatment often with the possible side-effects, pnic which to me, means some one had  to have them to them to raise the issue! Is a h--l of a lot worse then the problem you took them for,!!  Think I stay with goose grease and snake oil :mini-devil-28492:

Or an enema.... skrt
Years ago, my wife found an old medical text from the late 1800's..
It listed several treatments or medicines for whatever ailment you inquired about.
BUT...the last treatment suggestion they mentioned for every condition was either a 'high enema' or..a 'low enema'..
We never did figger out what the difference was between a high and low enema... ???
So.. goose grease, snake oil, a good jug, and an enema otta cure it...  ROFL

Ya know, on a more serious note, I am inclined to believe that most Americans are way over medicated, there are pills for everything, doctors prescribe them by the handful, just ask around, almost 85 percent of people I have run into in my life are taking something for something. I find it frightening. We have become a country of addicts, and drug interaction, misuse, etc. just might be able to explain the bizarre patterns of behavior we have been seeing lately. It is something that crosses all barriers, race, ethnicity, age, and monetary status. I can't even take an advil without feeling a bit woozy, I can't imagine taking some of these other things that people do every day. This altered mind state might also explain the permissiveness of people in general to tolerate things that just 30 years ago they might have spoken against, I'm not saying that it's a conspiracy or anything, but man, the drug companies seem to be running quite a lot these days. Take for example, how many children have been "diagnosed" with ADD....factor in the fact that they are being prescribed mood altering drugs that turn them into little zombies, and there you have it, total control of the future of America. An ignorant, easily controlled population, raised on mood altering drugs...frightening. Hitler went after the kids too, Mao with his little red book also indoctrinated the youth, Stalin, etc. If you wanna take the long view, and control a country, you go after the kids. I think I'll put the soap box away before I start having nightmares.

In Response to Hrayton, I can agree with most of what you said but in my humble opinion, part of the issue is science itself... A.D.D. was not "Discovered" until the early 60's then you had everyone trying different things for it, Ridyllin (SP) and others... I myself was labeled as Hyper-active when in my first years in school,  no one but my family took notice that I had learned to read early and was bored in school because most of the things they were teaching my parents had already taught me.... and I wanted to be out in the woods trekking  ;D

Science has been a big help in a lot of ways but with longer life spans we create issues with overcrowding and such...

If I really wanted to stir the pot I would compare the human population with the deer populations... look at all the areas where they are doing special hunts and culling to thin the heard to give the habitat a chance to recover....

Now I will carry this one strep further. Have you noticed that about 1 law in 5 the last 15 years is to protect  the stupid from them selves.

You can't dictate or legislate Common Sense! If folks don't have the sense God gave geese they are in a world of hurt. And yet they keep yelling that the Government should make a law (for whatever issue)- Thought WE were the government. Could it be that people just won't get off their apathetic asses?  yakyak OK I'll quit now - should read these after work when I'm in a better mood... The JUG helps!!!

Consider this; Every product warning label has a person behind it that tried the behaviour. Seen on a toilet scrubber brush "This brush not to be used for personal hygiene." Scrub where with what!?!?!? \
At the risk of verging into both religion and politics there is someting to be said for the Darwin theories. Namely that the really stupid should be allowed to take themselves out of the gene pool by terminal misfortune. HUMPFH! Wonder if that last jug is hid under this soapbox?

Can't say as what I've learned in history is true or not. But as far as I can tell, it seems that this country was economically, politically, and physically stronger before the government started creating laws to protect people from themselves. Just my impression and of couse I could be wrong.

The meds you get at the drug store arent going to actually CURE what ails you. The pharmaceutical companies wont make anything that will actually cure you as if they cure your ails, they wont be able to keep selling you their poisons. They know the risks of many of these meds are worse than what the original problem is but if they can get you to take them anyway, they will be able to get you on others to treat the side affects and keep the circle going with their profits going up in the process.  Many of the pills they push are things we would never take if we knew what they really were. Many of todays ailments can be treated with old remedies and actually be cured but they dont want us to know that. If we were able to get away from them-with the exception of those who have serious health issues, yes some of us would be sick for a while but it would allow our bodies to rebuild our immune systems to help fight many of the bugs that go around and would stop the creation of the super strains of illness that are so common now days.

I have a friend living in the Honduras. His jug is full of local rum - that he claims is so sweet; you can drink it straight like a soda... If this weather don't ease up - I may have to fly down and find his jug... I hate this winter already!
