Just completed my first pair of mocs. I used this tutorial:

I found it to be the most user friendly tutorial, making it idiot proof. Since it was my first time making them I found it very useful as well as looking at others as well, including Micanopy's stickied here.
A lot of stitching but well worth the effort of making tiny stitches and not cutting corners. I made them out of my deer hide I had tanned from this past December. I know it's not as good as smoked, but good enough for now. Gonna make another pair eventually out of smoked elk. Enjoy!
Nice job.

ROFL
What do you guys usually do with the tag in the back? I've seen them sew up, I've seen them left alone, and I have seen them cut into designs. What do you guys do?
I usually like to sew mine up, I just like the way it looks better.
Of course I haven't made side seams yet, only center seams. Going to have to try them pretty soon. I like the way yours turned out.

I leave them alone, that way I know I am not tracking myself or anyone in my clan.
those are nice I'm gonna getbrave and try a pair with my moose hide.
Nice work!
Especially using the hide you tanned and sewing them yourself!
